Phoenix – Project Description
Authors names: Niels Grubak Iversen & David Miguel Moreira Gonçalves
Finalist entry of the Michelin Challenge Design 2009.
Quarter scale model exhibited on the Michelin Stand at the North American International Auto Show 2009 in Detroit, USA.

Last but not least the PHOENIX features Orbital Omni-directional four-wheel-driv

Inspired by both the American Muscle cars and the Americans favourite vehicle; The Pick-up Truck, the PHOENIX is a 2-seater car, that is both agile and tough. A mid-ship engine placed right behind the cabin and four-wheel-drive provides balance, grip and a low centre of gravity.

Designer:

Niels Grubak Iversen & David Miguel Moreira Gonçalves

Powered by a Flexi-Fuel V8 Engine the PHOENIX is environmentally friendly, without compromising performance. Furthermore the body panels are made from bio-composite materials that can be easily recycled and the substructure is made from recycled aluminium. To enhance the safety of the occupants the passenger compartment is enclosed by a safety cell made from reinforced bio-polymers. Additional protection is given by the roll-bars/arches behind each seat.

Montreal, September 18th 2008 - Higgins Aubé Inc

Higgins-Aubé Inc, a young Canadian company, is proud to show early images of its latest creation, the Energya, a three-wheeled vehicle. The Energya™ three-wheeled vehicle, also now know as a motomobile, is designed as a light, high performance vehicle. Similar to a sports car where the driver and the passenger are seated side-by-side, the Energya™ motomobile has a rear engine that drives the single wheel at the back. The vehicle feels, drives and behaves mostly like an open wheels racecar. The vehicle features a distinctive, cutting-edge aggressive design that reflects its level of performance.

About the company:The two owners of Higgins-Aubé cumulate over 35 years of expe

Given appropriate financial backing, production units of the Energya™ motomobile could hit the market within 18 months.

Designer:

Higgins-Aubé

As a future step, it is envisioned that the Energya™ motomobile will be offered as an electric vehicle. This will turn the electric-car stereotype on its head, as the same performance objectives will be maintained.

Tu Fin - Walking On Water

TU_FiN is a fin driven sport, leisure and fitness boat. The driver performs an integral low-impact workout on a cross-trainer - a device found in many gyms - which transfers the physical strength into the fin mechanics. With a length of six meters the boat has room for up to two people accompanying the driver. The low stern can be used as a sundeck and allows easy access to and from the water.

It is controlled by two levers similar to bicycle brakes which are attached to t

Venturi Volage Concept

Venturi-Volage-Concept-8.jpg

Developed in partnership with Michelin, the Venturi Volage is a high-tech electric sportscar concept that previews a limited production model scheduled for 2012. Among the highlights are the eight in-wheel motors, four of which control the active suspension system.

"The technological repercussions of these two cars positioned at the very top end of the market are to be found on other vehicles bearing the Venturi brand, enabling as many people as possible to bene

"The void is part of the Volage style; it has been designed by subtraction.

"Volage has been fashioned by the wind. It is easy and enjoyable to imagine the movement of flows of air, on and across its bodywork.

"Volage finds itself in a totally original and decidedly contemporary formal category.

"The relationship with Venturi’s other models is obvious, though it is also possible to see, in a few details, a subtle tribute to certain icons among French cars of the pre-war era, the most elegant, the ones that were way before their time. Volage inspires passion: its powers of seduction are immense.”

This body has been specifically designed by the Venturi Design Office for electric cars and can carry batteries within its very structure, with great benefits in terms of safety for both the passengers and the batteries.

The ideal distribution of the Venturi Volage’s masses - 45% at the front, 55% at the rear– and its weight of 1,075 kilos enable it to attain 100 km/hr (62 mph) in less than 5 seconds.

The car presented in its world première is entirely operational and prefigures the production of a limited series of this model, scheduled for 2012.
