When carried, the bags graphics creates a visual extension of the users arm.
As with many of Copes conceptual bag designs the inner held position represents design as 'an extension of the self'.

Blow Me inflatable leather chair, inspired with an idea to change the general perception of inflatable furniture, usually plastic, sweaty and constantly deflating.

The Blow Me chair is manufactured from the finest 2mm unrefined saddle hide with hand finished wooden components and hand sewn back.

Blow Me is inflated via an industrial inner tube.

The whole chair can be flat packed and only weighs 7kg making it ideal for transportation and is available in London Tan, Havana Brown and Black.

Inflatable furniture finally comes of age.

The brief, from Vitra, asked for “a sofa inspired by the new Vitra Edition collection that is unencumbered by commercial constraints and pushes the boundaries of innovative furniture design”.

Kingsnorth says she was inspired by media coverage of obesity and Jenny Saville’s paintings to create One - “a sofa that has been devoured by its obese occupier”. “The flesh has spilled and encased the sofa… until the two have married into a new grotesque form,” she explains.

The 12 lamps can be stacked inside each other for easy transport or stacked on top of each other.

The book box has built in book stands which allows you to place different sized books randomly in the box without them falling over.

Wood waste and off-cuts were collected from factories in Denmark, this collection is made entirely out of the factory waste collected. The pieces were put together to form a wood patchwork before they were made into; a chair, a book box and a series of 12 lamps.

New for 2008, Paul Beckett will be launching ONK, a new timepiece which has been developed from a long term relationship with The Audi Design Foundation. The work features a mesmerising, levitating heart encased in crystal-clear cast acrylic and blood red solid surface material. The innovative spherical dial which is produced by nano crystaline deposition of copper onto a polycarbonate rapid prototype displays the time in 24 hours. Inspiration for the sculpted form emanates from a life long love of jelly sweets and is reflected in its inviting, curvaceous lines. This high-end, precision mechanical design is produced strictly as a limited edition.

An exciting new addition to Paul’s collection are his first electro-mechanical timepieces, smaller in scale and price yet still fusing the innovative futuristic style that his work is renowned for. These pieces will be electrically driven, whilst retaining the stainless steel skeletonised wheels and 24 hours analogue dial. This range sees Paul fusing his passion for digital fine art images and horology, producing unique, spectacular wall pieces, incorporating innovative printed acrylic sheet.

Paul’s distinctive design hand writing has earned him many international architectural projects. He is currently producing three large timepieces for Green and Grain (architects) in Singapore. The work features natural and neutral colours which harmonise beautifully with the sophisticated yet cool palette of Green and Grain. He is also designing a monumental clock to be sited at 21-21 Gallery, Mid-Town Tokyo, a collaborative venture between the gallery and NSK, Japan’s largest roller bearing manufacturer. This project will create the world’s largest rolling ball clock, a timepiece whose aesthetic design is inspired by visual communication, specifically the optical nerve’s connection between the retina and visual cortex.

These projects highlight the hybrid vigor which defines Paul’s work. “It’s the fusion of creative abstraction and precision engineering that invigorates my practice” says Paul who has just returned from exhibiting at HD EXPO, Las Vegas, America’s largest hotel and hospitality design show, where his work received an enthusiastically response from American and international specifiers.

Manta is a dining chair suitable for domestic and contract applications. The innovative use of a multi directional curved plywood molding for the combined back and arm rest give the chair a strong sculptural element distinguishing it from the many plywood chairs in the market. Surprisingly this beautiful chair can be stacked four high.
Designed to look as good, from the back as the front, Manta avoids the pitfalls of mass production design, made in smaller numbers and at very high quality levels.

This table has many guises, a broken square or three separate geometrically freeform shapes to spread into places around the home they are needed the most.
Fracture is three coffee tables that can be used together or as individual tables. The section of steel used ensures a strong cantilever, supporting a solid walnut top.
