Salvaged from the back lanes of Hong Kong Street, where there's an abundance of packing crates discarded by the numerous decades-old companies trading in rice and seafood. Walking past these crates every day, we saw an opportunity to recycle unwanted objects into useable art. Handmade in the studio, it was intended to be a one-off piece that pays tribute to the heritage of Hong Kong Street, as well as elevating the humble utility of these crates to a higher level of appreciation.
